Ph.D. in Political Science (Vanderbilt University). I am a Professor at El Colegio de Jalisco and Director of the Social Science Experimentation Unit (UECS). My reserach examines political behavior, public opinion, and political psychology, focusing on violence, corruption, migration, discrimination, and misinformation in Latin America.

My work (available for FREE HERE) combines surveys, experiments, qualitative interviews, and comparative analysis to understand how citizens respond to insecurity and weak or distrusted institutions.

It has appeared in journals such as Comparative Political Studies, Political Behavior, Political Research Quarterly, and International Migration Review. I am a Level I member of Mexico’s National System of Researchers.
